The iPET Network Level 2 End-Point Assessment (EPA) for Equine Groom is the final assessment for Apprentices completing the Level 2 Equine Groom Standard. This assessment is designed to confirm that Apprentices have developed the practical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required to work safely and competently as equine grooms.
The EPA combines practical tasks and professional discussions that reflect real-world equine care scenarios. Apprentices are assessed on their ability to handle, groom, and care for horses in a safe and welfare-conscious manner, maintain clean and compliant facilities, and support the daily management of equine environments. The assessment also evaluates professionalism, teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving in equine care settings.
Successfully completing the iPET Network Level 2 EPA demonstrates that apprentices are confident, competent, and ready to work as professional equine grooms in a variety of equine care environments.
