The iPET Network Level 3 End-Point Assessment (EPA) for Senior Equine Groom is the final assessment for Apprentices completing the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Standard. This assessment is designed to confirm that Apprentices have developed the advanced knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required to manage equine care independently and support junior staff in equine environments.
The EPA includes practical tasks, professional discussions, and scenario-based assessments that reflect real-world responsibilities in equine care. Apprentices are evaluated on their ability to oversee horse care, manage facilities safely and effectively, plan routines, and apply advanced equine welfare practices. The assessment also examines leadership, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
Successfully completing the iPET Network Level 3 EPA demonstrates that Apprentices are industry-ready, capable of taking responsibility for equine care, and equipped to work as competent, confident Senior Equine Grooms in professional equine settings.
