Leading the Way

iPET Network is a fully regulated Awarding Organisation under Ofqual, CCEA Regulation, and Qualifications Wales, specialising exclusively in the Animal Care and Veterinary Science sector. Our mission is to raise industry standards through innovative qualifications that improve the welfare of animals and the people who care for them.

As a sector-specific Awarding Organisation, iPET Network is unique in its approach. We continually develop new qualifications to meet the evolving needs of the industry, ensuring our partners deliver training that is both relevant and respected.

In September 2021, we became the first End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) approved to deliver the Dog Groomer Apprenticeship Standard, setting a new benchmark for quality and innovation in animal-care apprenticeships. Since then, our catalogue of approved apprenticeship standards has continued to grow, reflecting our commitment to expanding opportunities for both learners and employers.

Supporting You Through the Apprenticeship Journey

Apprenticeship Journey

At iPET Network, we understand that new apprenticeship standards can be challenging to navigate. Drawing on years of experience in qualification design, delivery, and quality assurance, we provide clear guidance and hands-on support from day one. Our dedicated EPA Team works directly with Training Providers, Employers, and Apprentices to ensure that every stage of the End-Point Assessment (EPA) process is seamless. From registration through to certification, our focus is on creating a professional, transparent, and supportive experience that helps every Apprentice achieve their full potential.

EPA

How End-Point Assessment Works

The End-Point Assessment is the final stage of an apprenticeship, designed to confirm that the Apprentice has met all the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours within their standard. Depending on the apprenticeship, assessments may include practical observations, professional discussions, and written or online knowledge tests.

We recognise that Training Providers play a crucial role in preparing Apprentices for success. Your ongoing support, realistic target-setting, and structured progress monitoring are essential in ensuring each Apprentice is ready for their assessment and confident on the day.

FEES

Price Flexibility and Transparency

iPET Network prides itself on a simple, transparent pricing structure. All EPA fees are clear, consistent, and published in the Training Provider and Employer Specification for each standard. Fees are payable when the apprentice is registered on ACE360 and enters the Gateway, and must be settled prior to assessment taking place.

Unlike many awarding bodies, iPET Network has:

  • No annual membership fees
  • No minimum apprenticeship registrations
  • No extra fees for additional standards
  • No hidden EQA or admin charges
  • Transparent re-sit pricing
  • Unlimited qualification options

This means you can grow your training provision at your own pace without unnecessary financial barriers.

Communication, iPET Network
Support

Dedicated Support Every Step of the Way

Every Training Provider and Employer working with iPET Network is assigned a dedicated EPA Manager who acts as the single point of contact for all assessment activity. The EPA Team coordinates scheduling, quality assurance, and certification to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish. Certain assessment components, such as practical observations, must take place within the Apprentice’s normal working environment, while professional discussions and knowledge tests can be completed in an approved test centre or verified remote location. iPET Network has a network of Approved Centres that can be booked through our digital EPA software system. We can also verify whether Employer or Training Provider premises meet the requirements for assessment.

Support

Tailored Support Packages

We provide tailored support packages to every Apprentice, Employer, and Training Provider. These packages are designed to make the End-Point Assessment process transparent and stress-free. Each Apprentice receives a structured roadmap of their apprenticeship journey, including detailed checklists, self-assessment exercises, and explanations of every stage of the EPA. Employers receive a dedicated guide outlining the End-Point Assessment journey, their responsibilities, and how to best support Apprentices in the workplace. Training Providers are given their own tailored resources, including guidance documents, sign-off sheets, and access to iPET Network’s full support team.

CERTIFICATION

Certification

After successful completion of the End-Point Assessment, iPET Network submits the apprentice’s results to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). The official certificates are then produced and dispatched by the ESFA via recorded delivery to the Employer.

Our efficient, transparent process ensures that apprentices, employers, and providers all receive the recognition they deserve as quickly as possible.
