The iPET Network Level 3 End-Point Assessment (EPA) for Animal Care and Welfare Manager is the final assessment for Apprentices completing the Level 3 Animal Care and Welfare Manager Standard. This assessment is designed to confirm that Apprentices have developed the advanced knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required to manage animal care operations and lead teams within an animal care setting.
The EPA includes practical tasks, professional discussions, and observations that reflect real-world responsibilities in animal care. Apprentices are evaluated on their ability to oversee the care and welfare of animals, manage facilities safely and efficiently, plan and implement care routines, and apply best practices in animal health and welfare. The assessment also examines leadership, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Successfully completing the iPET Network Level 3 EPA demonstrates that Apprentices are industry-ready, capable of taking responsibility for animal care, and equipped to work as competent, confident Animal Care and Welfare Managers in professional settings.
